Employee Recognition
Caring Kind Award
Each year, member hospitals of the Nebraska Association of Hospital and Health Systems (NAHHS)are afforded an opportunity to nominate an outstanding employee for this award. Caring Kind recipients exemplify the teamwork, dedication and spirit that create a positive work environment and enhance patient care.
The award is presented during the Caring Kind Luncheon at the NHA Annual Convention in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Caring Kind Luncheon is always one of the most anticipated events of the year as the Nebraska Hospital Association recognizes one employee from each NHA member hospital who exemplifies the "care" that is synonymous with healthcare.
In 2007, our Caring Kind recipient was Leslie Schulz. PMC's Caring Kind recipient in '08 was Karlene Meyer, and Connie Mann was our '09 recipient.
Employee of the Quarter
In June of 2002, Providence Medical Center implemented an Employee of the Quarter recognition program.
Believing that our staff members are our most valuable asset, patients, staff and community members have an opportunity to nominate a PMC employee for this honor. Nomination forms are available at the hospital Business Office.
The Selection Committee includes both community members and hospital staff.
Each quarter, the recipient is honored at a hospital coffee and is presented with a special gift basket. The name of each Providence Medical Center Employee of the Quarter is recognized on a plaque which hangs in the front lobby of the hospital.
Marcile Thomas, Administrator states "I personally feel that you can never thank individuals enough for doing a good job. At Providence Medical Center I am privileged to work with dedicated employees who are at the very core of our success."
Employee of the Quarter award recipients in 2009 were Tammie Thomsen, RN; Valerie Fischer, RN; Tracy Keating, RN and Susan Kvols, RN.
