Providence Medical Center Welcomes New Administrator
November 14, 2011
Providence Medical Center has announced the appointment of Thomas J. Lee as
Chief Executive Officer. Lee is currently CEO of Palo Alto County Health
System in Emmetsburg, Iowa, and will begin his duties at PMC on December
5th. He has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and
replaces Mike Hammond, who has served as the interim administrator/CEO for
the past six months.
"We are excited to welcome Tom to the PMC family. It has been an honor to
serve as the interim administrator and I look forward to working with the
hospital Board, Medical Staff and PMC Staff to ensure a smooth transition to
this change in leadership at Providence Medical Center," said Hammond.
"Mr Lee brings an understanding of the everyday challenges faced by hospital
staff, patients and physicians," states Board President, Alan Harms. "This,
combined with his experience in operations, strategic planning, quality
initiatives and technology development, gives us a dynamic leader to see
Providence Medical Center into the future."
Lee and his wife have two children - a daughter attending Benedictine
College in Atchison, Kansas, and a son currently in the 6th grade.
