PMC Awarded 5-Star Patient Satisfaction Rating

Providence Medical Center was recently awarded a 5-Star patient satisfaction rating from the centers for Medicare and Medicaid.  Using the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), patients are asked to rate the quality of care and experiences of their hospital stay. There are 10 questions ranging from how well doctors and nurses communicated to cleanliness and quietness of the facility.  The information is compiled and available on the Hospital Compare website for healthcare consumers to review and make comparisons.

PMC has taken very intentional steps over the past couple years to improve customer service and enhance patient care. Increasing staff training, implementing specific best practices and providing ongoing internal learning and communication opportunities are just a few ways Providence staff has worked to improve overall quality of care.

 

Adoption of the H.E.A.R.T. of PMC concept has become particularly impactful to how PMC delivers services. Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork are the guiding principles our staff have adopted to make sure they are doing what is best for our patients. “It is great to know the steps we’ve taken are making a difference.  We will never stop learning from our patients and thank them for this 5 Star rating,” said CEO, Jim Frank.
