Scope of Practice
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD): Narrowing in the arteries of the legs that may lead to pain in the legs with walking, or even poorly healing wounds in severe cases.
Aortic Disease: Weakness in the main artery that carries blood from the heart to the lower body. A screening ultrasound is indicated for people over 65 years old with any history of smoking.
Carotid Disease: Narrowing in the arteries that carry blood to the brain, a major cause of stroke.
Venous Disease: Full spectrum of Varicose Vein treatments.
DVT and Pulmonary Embolism (PE): Blood clots in the deep veins (DVT), causing pain and swelling in an arm or leg. These may break free and travel to the lungs (PE) causing shortness of breath and chest pain, which may be life threatening.
Dialysis Access: Full spectrum of access care for dialysis patients.
Hyperhibrosis: Severe sweating of the palms of the hands.
